Planting from seed

Do you know what germination and photosynthesis is?

We have learnt that germination is how a seed starts growing, and that all seeds and plants need oxygen, water and sunlight to grow. This is photosynthesis.

Seeds come in many different shapes and sizes, and most are ready to be transplanted into a bigger garden space in just 4 weeks.

We planted some snow peas, basil, cucumber and marigold seeds on the 11th of September and just 7 days later they have sprouted.

We keep them in the class near a window where they can see the sun. We water them every morning.
It is exciting watching them change and grow. We can not wait to see what they grow in to.

We will be able to take our snow peas pots home over the holidays to care for them and see how much they have grown when we come back in term four.

Whaea Jaime will have a prize for the best growth.

I could possibly take this advice to my class to help our plants/flowers grow so our bees have an appropriate habitat. I have had so much fun commenting on your blog and now it is coming to an end, so I´m saying keep up the great work and if you are wnating to visit my blog heres my blog address:
