Drawing Taniwha with Explain Everything

Today we have been practicing using the drawing tools on Explain Everything. We drew a Taniwha because we have been learning about them in class for cultures around the world.

SMART Footprint

We were learning about our digital footprint and about what information we can share. We learned we can only share our first name, not our whole name. We know not to share our street address but we can say we live in Kawakawa. We can share our interests and the things we like to do. 

Our Cyber smart journey.

We have been learning how to use the camera app, how to take photo's and how to use cyber smart.

We have been learning a little bit about Media.

We have learned how to take a photo of a book we are reading and how to record ourselves reading a page from that story.

We learned how to make an avatar on explain everything. We had to learn how to move our avatar's while we were reading.

Cyber Smart lesson

We have been learning about our digital footprint and how to take care of our devices.

We talked about our digital footprint. When we post  things online we can track where we have been.
We learned that when we are holding our devices we need to hug them to our chest to keep them safe.
We need to put our devices on sensible surfaces.

We need to keep our devices away from food and our drinks.
We watched a video clip that encouraged us to do the same when we get our devices.
We could do a video like this too.
