We have had a busy term in Room 17 and have worked hard to
complete our Matariki poems. We have been learning ways Matariki is celebrated and used
this as inspiration for our writing. Our school had a fabulous Matariki Day
event that lasted for 2 days. We had choices for the activities and most of Room 17 children chose for the games, gardening or art opinions. It was a very enjoyable two days
and the children loved performing kapa haka and presenting what they had been
working on during our final assembly before our Matariki Feast.
