After three weeks of writing letters back and forth, asking questions about interests, family, pets and hobbies our tamariki have discovered many things they have in common and things that are so far from their own daily lives that its made meeting each other extremely exciting.
Whaea Jaime: How do you feel now that you know so much more about your pen pals?
Nico: I feel really good that we know more about each other,
Aubree: I think its amazing we like and do a lot of the same things.
Waekamania: I still feel a bit shy, but Satyn is so nice.
Kia ora room 17, we are room 7 from Ahipara School in Northland. We are a year 3 & 4 class and we found your post very interesting. We like that you got to meet up with your pen pals. Your writing is very interesting and creative and amazing to read. In your photo you look like you have become very good friends with your pen pals.
ReplyDeleteHi Room 17, Jacquelyn here form Room 5. Being a Penpal for Noah was fun:) I got to know more abut him, and he got to know more about me. I will talk to my teacher and see if we can do penpals to some classes too. Maybe you can ask Whaea Jaime for you guys to do them to the college kids. Only if Whaea Jaime and Mrs Ross says so. Come and check my personal blog https://kpsjacquelym.blogspot.com, and also my class blog http://kpsroom5and6.blogspot.com/. To see all the cool stuff we get up to. Keep up the great work Room 17 :)
