Shapes are everywhere.

Today in math's we used blocks to make trains. Some blocks cubes and some where cylinders. Some of us made big trains and that meant we had to use lots of blocks.

Another group used smaller blocks with different shapes to make patterns. These patterns were in groups of two and three.

And another group used coloured rods to make patterns. Pounamu used yellow and green. He notice that by making the pattern go from end to end he could only go so far. So then Daniel used his orange and yellow rods side by side.

We are having fun learning about shapes and patterns and that they are everywhere and in everything around us including right outside our classroom windows.
